Planning on coming to Disney. 5/6 from our last visit will be returning. Adding a new person. None of us still have our wrist bands. Do I need to deactivate the old ones? How do we get new ones? How do we link Military tickets? Staying at Storey Lake.

    Hi Jennifer,

Thank you for your family's service to our country and welcome back home to Walt Disney World!  I'm very happy for you to be Celebrating the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort this year. Although you may do things a little differently than the last time you visited, it will be just as Magical.  I am especially excited to see how Cinderella Castle is dressed up for the holidays ~ I hear her eveningwear is simply inspired!

Have no worries if you have Lost or Misplaced Your MagicBands.  You may deactivate any of  your MagicBands while logged into My Disney Experience account or while using your My Disney Experience Mobile App.  If you do happen to find your MagicBands you can also reactivate them again if you choose.  Personally I would deactivate any of your MagicBands that you are unable to locate since access to your theme park tickets (and other select offerings) are enabled with any active MagicBand.

Linking activated Military tickets or Military Exchange Certificates is also an easy process and can be done within your My Disney Experience account.  After you log in you will navigate to the "My Plans" section where you will then select the "Park Tickets" icon and choose the "link tickets" option.  You can then enter the numbers on your activated Military tickets or Military Exchange Certificates.  Once you have linked your tickets you are all set to make Disney Park Pass Reservation for the theme parks you wish to visit.  Remember, you must have both a valid ticket and a Disney Park Pass Reservation in order to gain admittance to a theme park.  Additionally, if you have a Military Exchange Certificate you will need to stop by Guest Relations and have your tickets activated prior to entering any of the theme parks.

MagicBands are an awesome accessory and I might have a horde of them myself, but they are not a necessity for you to enter a theme park.  Your Military tickets will get you in the park, so it's up to you if you want to pick up some new ones.  If you think you would like new ones you can order MagicBands at shopDisney or wait and purchase them on Disney property in one of their retail shops.  As you can see there are a wide variety of styles to choose from!  I would caution you to only purchase MagicBands from a direct Disney source since MagicBands cannot be transferred from person to person (only activated or deactivated) and I wouldn't want you to risk purchasing counterfeit or previously linked MagicBands.

Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question Jennifer!  Have a Magical vacation and please stop by again if you have any further vacation planning questions, we are always happy to help.
