Suzanna from QC Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We are planning on coming for 3-4 days from Canada. What is the cancellation policy. We would stay in a Value Disney resort and get a 3 day pass and Geinie pass. Refundable or exchangeable or final sale. Thanks!

    Bonjour Suzanna!

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for sending us your question. As a fellow québécoise from Montréal, I am so excited to be answering your question today! I see your trip is coming soon - you must be so happy to be leaving the Canadian cold for the Florida warmth. I know that's always my favourite part, especially at this time of year when it is freezing here in Québec.

Now let's talk about cancellation policies and what options are available to you should you change your trip. Unfortunately, theme park tickets are non-refundable and nontransferable. However, if you have to reschedule your vacation, there are two things you can do with your tickets. First, you can go into your My Disney Experience account and click on "My Plans" and then on "Tickets & Memory Maker." There, you will be able to click on "Change Ticket" and change the dates of your vacation, so your tickets don't expire after your original dates. Second, you can also let your tickets expire and apply their value to your next ticket purchase of equal or higher value. Indeed, since the value of tickets does not expire, you could use them as a credit next time you purchase theme park tickets. Crediting tickets, however, requires help from a Cast Member either on the phone or in person, so I would recommend changing the dates yourself first.

As for your resort reservation, the policy is a little bit different. Depending on the type of reservation you have, you might be able to cancel your reservation online by once again going into the "My Plans" section of your My Disney Experience account and clicking on "Cancel Reservation." If you do not have this option, you will have to call Disney's Reservation Center directly at (407) 939-1936 to cancel or reschedule your resort hotel reservation. You can cancel your reservation up to 30 days before your arrival without penalty, whereas cancellations made from 29 to two days before arrival will lead to cancellation fees. Cancellations made a day prior to arrival are non-refundable. Consequently, it is often recommended to try and reschedule your reservation instead of cancelling it.

I hope this was helpful, Suzanna, and that your upcoming visit will be practically perfect in every way! If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your visit, it will be our honour to help you. You and me, we're in a club now!

Je vous souhaite une journée pleine de magie,
