I am planning a Christmas vacation to Disneyland Dec 18-27. What should my family & I expect while we are there? I would assume lots of people. But in extra tips I can recieve would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Ryan,

Yes, the crowds will be higher than usual, but the fact that you're visiting for several days is definitely a huge bonus!  I recommend taking the time to enjoy the magical little details without feeling the pressure to see and do everything in one day!  Disneyland during the Holidays is truly such an amazing sight to see. The lights and decorations are attractions all their own.  You'll want to spend lots of time just walking around taking it all in... The twinkling lights on Main Street USA, Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle, draped with dazzling icicle lights and newly fallen snow, a HUGE Christmas Tree in Town Square, Characters decked out in their Holiday finest, and of course, Saint Nicholas himself!

With the right plan of action, you're sure to have a magical experience!  Just be sure to plan out each day ahead of time by deciding which attractions are must-dos. If you are staying at a Disneyland Resort HOtel, you can enjoy the exclusive perk of Extra Magic Hour which will enable you to enter one of the parks an hour before regular guests!  This can help you get a jumpstart on your day, helping you to maximize your time in the parks!

You won't want to miss the popular attractions, "It's A Small World" and "The Haunted Mansion" as they will both have their special Holiday overlays, and be sure to schedule in time for the amazing "Christmas Fantasy Parade" before settling in to catch a glimpse of the special Holiday fireworks that will set the sky ablaze above Sleeping Beauty Castle!

There will also be fun decorations and holiday themed shows and sights over at California Adventure, but honestly, Disneyland Park is my favorite place to be during the Holidays!

    Best Wishes,
