Hi Michelle,
Welcome to planDisney! I am so excited to know that you are planning a visit during
The Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort!
We have come to love spending Christmas at the Walt Disney World Resort. On our last several visits, we have been able to enjoy all of our favorite restaurants including restaurants in Disney Springs. It is a busy time of year for the parks and resorts, so be sure to make
advanced dining reservations when your
dining reservation window opens, currently 60-days in advance of arrival.
On Christmas day, we love to dine at
Cinderella's Royal Table and
Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom. As you consider your plans, decide which theme park you will visit on Christmas day. Then, select your restaurants. Know also that you can use
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering and
Mobile Dine Check-in. If you are unable to secure advanced dining reservations for certain locations, you can also try checking
Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability.
Michelle, since this is such a busy time of year, make sure you check on the status of
Disney Park Pass system reservations and make them early if they are still required for your visit. If you have not already created a My Disney Experience account, go ahead and create one. As soon as you book a
vacation package, you need to link it in your My Disney Experience account.
Michelle, I am so excited for you! If you do go during the Christmas holiday season, think about how you will celebrate. Perhaps the trip is the gift for everyone? We usually take small trinkets to open on Christmas day since we celebrate the holiday. Given that we typically fly, those trinkets are truly small because we have to pack them in our carry-on luggage!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
