I am planning my children's first trip to WDW next spring break.I am a bit concerned about feeding them due to the fact that they are extremely picky eaters. They will be 10 and 12 at the time of our trip. Will they be allowed to eat from the kids menus?

    Hi Tiffany,

The cast members at Walt Disney World do their best to make dining a great experience for everyone, even picky eaters.  I have seen several older children and even adults request menu items from the kids' menu.  Your server will bring out an adult sized portion of an  item on the children's menu if your children can't find anything else to eat.

I also recommend going to restaurants that serve food family style or buffet style.  This will give your kids the flexibility to try new foods while knowing that they can always eat the children's selections.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
