We are planning a character breakfast at Cape May Cafe, are we allowed to boxup any leftover food on our plates?

Hi there, Joseph, and welcome to planDisney!

I’ve been to many character dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort, but admittedly, Cape May Cafe is still on my must-try list. Any time that you can meet Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy in one place is pure magic. I hope that you have an amazing time dining there.

In general, All-You-Care-To-Enjoy (buffet-style) dining experiences at Walt Disney World Resort don’t allow to-go boxes. This is because it is an all-you-can-eat meal where the food is abundant. Cape May Cafe is an All-You-Care-To-Enjoy restaurant for all mealtimes, so it is included in this distinction. Over the years, Cast Members at All-You-Care-To-Enjoy restaurants like ‘Ohana and Tusker House Restaurant have allowed my family to take away drinks in to-go cups, but for the most part, I wouldn’t bet on the answer being a resounding “yes.” Mostly every other restaurant type at Walt Disney World does indeed offer to-go boxes, so you’re good to go if you’re dining at those places.

Joseph, thanks for stopping by planDisney. If you have any more questions, we’d love to help you on your Disney vacation planning journey. Give us a holler!

    Magic always,
