Hello, I am planning on celebrating my daughter's 1st Birthday at WDW in March 2011. Lunch with Mickey would be ideal, as she is already in love with him. Which character dinning experience would you recommend. Family and friends will be expected to join.

    Elizabeth:

To me, Chef Mickey's would be an ideal location for a birthday meal with Mickey.  Best of all, you'll get attention from Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Donald Duck, too!

The only problem: typically Chef Mickey's doesn't serve lunch, unless they open for a busy season like a holiday or free dining promotion--but you CAN work around that:  Ask for the latest breakfast seating (we had 11:30 a.m. ressies last November and they were still seating folks after us).  Best of all, the meal will be cheaper and because there will be fewer guests in the dining room as the restaurant empties, you and your daughter will have more time with Mickey!

    Wishing you a memorable birthday!
    Whitney

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
