We're planning on celebrating a 6th birthday at Chef Mickey's for dinner. I believe the buffet already includes a dessert bar. I'm torn whether I should order a cake as well. Suggestions?

Hi Lori, Chef Mickey's is a great choice for a Birthday celebration!

To me nothing says, "Happy Birthday" better than making a wish and blowing out the candles on a cake. Rather than ordering a customized cake though, you could simply purchase one of the "Celebrate Today Cakes" at Chef Mickey's. These are available in chocolate or vanilla, with no advance notice necessary. The cakes are currently $21 and are perfect for parties of 5 or less.  All you'll need to do is simply advise the host or hostess when you arrive that you would like a cake. Even if your party is larger than 5, I think one of these would be fine because it would give you all the chance to sing "Happy Birthday". Your child could make a wish and blow out their candles.

The dessert bar at Chef Mickey's features a variety of tasty treats, but I'll bet your 6 year old will love the "make-your-own-ice-cream-sundae" bar the most. Cake, ice-cream and Mickey Mouse...sounds like the perfect birthday celebration to me!

    Hope this helps.

    Have a Magical vacation!
