Hello, I was planning on buying five day tickets. Can I split this into two different trips? And if so, my youngest will be turning three before the second trip. I couldn’t find a way to buy just a child ticket. How could I do that?

Hi there, Victoria! Welcome to planDisney. You must be so excited to plan a family trip to the Happiest Place on Earth! So many memories around each and every corner. One of the things I love most about Disneyland Resort vacations is that no matter what age my Mouseketeers are, the magic meets them in their moment. We went from meeting every princess to, most recently, riding every roller coaster! While I felt a bit nostalgic to leave the princess dresses behind, I was SO thrilled to finally have a buddy for Space Mountain!

Let's talk theme park tickets! I can see you have done your research and know the value of getting multi-day tickets! Not only does it give you time to explore all that Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park have to offer, but the cost per day does decrease the more days you add to the ticket. Multi-day tickets are intended to be used within one trip and all the days will expire within 13 days of first use. I'm so sorry to put a damper on your plans to extend your tickets over the course of two trips!

One thing you may want to look into is the new California Resident Ticket Offer which is a 3-day ticket that can be used on non-consecutive days between June 13th and September 15th, 2022. There are two options - one which is weekdays only Monday - Thursday and one where there are no blackout dates and it can be used Monday - Sunday. I'm not sure about the timing of your trips, but this could be a great option for your family if you fall within the eligible zip codes! With this ticket, you could visit for two days and then use the third and final day later this summer or vice versa or make it three one-day trips! The choice is yours!

When it comes to your youngest Mouseketeer, it sounds like this next trip will be the last complimentary magic carpet ride through the resort. I'm so glad you are getting one last under 3 experience! Enjoy! Once that little one crosses that 3-year-old bridge, it's easy to book a child's ticket through the Disneyland Website. You will see the option pop up as you move through the system. After you choose your ticket type and the number of days, you will then see the option to choose the number of tickets for those in your party that are 10+ and those that are 3 - 9.

The magic is back in full swing, I have to say, so get excited! With the return of many beloved nighttime spectaculars, the only thing left missing for me was daytime entertainment, and I'm so happy to say IT IS BACK! The Tale of the Lion King is bringing the Fantasyland Theater back to life to recreate Simba's prideful journey through epic music and dance! Storytelling at Royal Theatre just to the left of Sleeping Beauty Castle is some of the most unique retellings of Disney tales I've ever seen. It's interactive and downright hilarious for old and young alike - definitely a must-see!

Victoria, I hope this was helpful in your planning even if it wasn't exactly the news you were hoping for! If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reach back out to us. We are always here for you at planDisney.

    Magic awaits,
    Tara
