Hi! I am planning to buy tickets soon and have a question about paperless vs. hard tickets. Do you have to choose just one or can I use My Disney Experience and get a hard ticket as a backup just in case there are phone issues?

    Welcome to planDisney Amber!

It sounds like you are a planner. I am one, too, so I know how important it is to plan "just in case!" I use Disney MagicMobile Service on my phone almost exclusively to get into the parks, but I always have a back-up "just in case" my phone dies or other issue. I always keep a MagicBand with me or stop by the front desk of my Disney Resort hotel to get card. My Apple Watch is also linked, so I have so many back-ups, I am ready for anything!

Regardless of how many back-ups you have, all are interchangeable during your vacation. You will know fairly quickly which method you prefer to use and will probably stick with it. But I feel better knowing I can tap into a park with a card if my battery is running low on my phone.

Speaking of "just in case," have a bag packed for your theme park visits. Toss in cheap rain ponchos, sunscreen, a phone charger, and hand sanitizer. These little items can be costly if needed in the parks, so having them in your magic bag is helpful. I feel like Mary Poppins sometimes with all the things I can pull out of my tote bag in a moment's notice!

"Just in case" I haven't mentioned it, I hope you have a magical visit to Walt Disney World!

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
