Hiya, Caroline! First, I hope you fare well during this storm. I am glued to the news and wishing upon all the stars for the best for all of us in Helene's path.
I have a few friends at
Walt Disney World Resort now, and it sounds like they are hunkered down and waiting for the storm to pass overnight. Hopefully, everything will be practically perfect in time for your trip.
Some events and conferences in the Orlando area offer special tickets for attendees to enjoy Walt Disney World. These tickets are arranged with the conference organizers and have their own criteria, such as when you can enter the theme parks. To purchase these tickets, you will need to use a link or follow instructions provided by the conference sponsors. I have heard these tickets are sometimes good for use up to seven days after the conference, but you would need to check to find out the particular policies with the tickets you'd like to buy. Hopefully, there is information in the email they sent about the tickets or on the site where you go to purchase them.
If you cannot find the information from the conference sponsor, you might try calling the Walt Disney World Groups Ticket Line. You can reach this special team at 407-566-5600, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern. Be sure to have your conference information handy so they can find the details of the tickets you have available.
I hope everything works out for you to escape the world of today and immerse in the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy. A trip down the river with
Tiana's Bayou Adventure, a race through time and space with
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and a rush through the Himalayas with
Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain may be the perfect combination to shake off this week and enjoy some thrills that you know will end in a smile.
See 'Ya Real Soon!
