Planning for 02/2022. I see some buffet dining options (e.g., Boma) are open while others (e.g. 1900 Park Faire Cinderella) are "temporarily unavailable". Can you tell me why the difference? Will all dining options be open by 2/2022?

    Hello Timothy,

It's great to hear you're planning your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Of course, one of the most fun aspects of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is that there are so many amazing choices for simply delicious dining. You mentioned Boma - Flavors of Africa, and that's one of my favorite places to enjoy dining with all its bountiful and sumptuous selections. And, of course, there are always new dining experiences coming available like the recently launched Space 220 Restaurant at EPCOT. Talk about a dining experience that's out of this world!

You're correct in noting that some dining experiences currently remain unavailable as they have not yet reopened, and other dining experiences such as character dining experiences have been modified.

While I don't have details to offer on specific reopening dates for those locations currently unavailable, I can say that the best way to stay in the know about new and newly returning experiences is to check out the Disney Parks Blog. It's a great way to keep up to date on all the experiences that await you when you visit the Walt Disney World Resort.

You can also stay in the know by checking out the available dining experiences for which you can make plans as part of your trip. You'll quickly get to see the dining choices for theme park dining as well as choices for dining at the Disney Resort hotels

And of course, you can make reservations for dining online at DisneyWorld.com as well as through the My Disney Experience mobile app

Timothy, here's wishing you a fun and wonderful vacation, and lots of delicious dining, when you visit the Walt Disney World Resort!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
