I was planning on bringing in a small cooler with sandwiches and drinks and place it in a locker. Would that be allowed at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom?

    Hi Andrea,

You are more than welcome to bring food & drinks inside the park - we do every trip. There are a couple of exceptions to this - no glass containers (except baby food jars) & no alcoholic beverages.

You are also welcome to bring a cooler for your food & drinks as long as it is not larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high.

If you don't want to carry your cooler around, lockers are available at all of the water parks, theme parks and Downtown Disney. In addition to the rental fee, you will be required to pay a refundable key deposit.

Lockers at the Magic Kingdom are located under the Main Street USA train station and are available in two sizes:  Small (11"high x 9" wide x 16" deep) or Large (17" high x 12" wide x 22" deep).

Lockers at Animal Kingdom are located inside the gate near Guest Services and are available in two sizes:  Small (11"high x 9" wide x 16" deep) or Large (17" high x 9" wide x 16" deep).  You can also lockers outside Animal Kingdom near the kennel are are available in three sizes:  Small (11"high x 9" wide x 16" deep), Large (17" high x 9" wide x 16" deep) and Extra Large (17" high x 12" wide x 16" deep).

Please note that I wasn't able to find the locker dimensions on the official Disney website but checked a couple of reliable unofficial websites and both listed the same dimensions for both parks.

If you are visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom park, you will not be permitted to bring in balloons, straws and drink lids as they are a safety hazard to the animals.

Feel free to come back and visit if you have any other questions.  Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
