Hi Brian,
I think it is wonderful that you are bringing your granddaughter to Walt Disney World and completely centering the trip around her. She is going to feel like a princess in the place where fairy tales come to life. I would be happy to help guide you on some fun recommendations.
First of all, I would suggest visiting the
traveling with little ones page. This will provide you with links to sample itineraries, attraction recommendations for that age group, as well as other tips.
Plan a character meal with the princesses. There are several available, including Cinderella's Royal Table, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, and dinner with Cinderella at 1900 Park Fare. My personal favorite is
Cinderella's Royal Table as it is inside Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom. I will never forget the look on my daughter's face the first time we dined there when she was 4 years old.
Next, you might want to consider an enchanting makeover for her at
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. There, she will be transformed into royalty by her very own "Fairy Godmother in Training"! There are two locations: Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs. Many little girls love to get their makeover prior to their princess meals so they are ready to make their royal entrance.
Lastly, do not forget to ask the front desk for a "first trip" button upon check-in. Have your precious granddaughter wear it throughout the trip. She will be astonished at all the special hellos and attention she will receive just by wearing the button.
Have a pixie-dusted trip and feel free to stop back by with more questions.
