We are planning on booking a trip to WDW in Nov, possible the week right before Thanksgiving. Crowds-wise, it that a good time to go, is that week also considered in the "value season"? Also, will the park be decorated for Christmas that early?

When my children were in school this was our favorite week to head to Walt Disney World.  It made for a great week vacation with only a couple of days that the kids were missing their classes. Although this is  not a value season week it is still a good choice.  The parks will become increasingly more crowded as the week gets closer to Thanksgiving day so we were always sure to hit the "must do" attractions early and use the end of the week to enjoy the resort amenities such as pools and boating.
Disney is now decorating much earlier then they used to for the Christmas holiday season so you will be able to see some of the great decorations up before you leave.  The Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party begins mid November and the Candlelight Procession begins the weekend of Thanksgiving so you might be able to enjoy some of the special events as well.
