Hello Suzannah!
I have younger children, so for my family, I need a zero-entry pool for my littles who are not strong swimmers. Throw in a splash zone and my kids are in heaven. I'll tell you my favorite pools in each Walt Disney Resort hotel category.
For the value hotels,
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is the clear winner. The Big Blue Pool is the largest Resort pool at the Walt Disney Resort, and it includes zero-entry depth, AND underwater speakers that play your favorite Disney songs. Does it get any more magical than that?
In the moderate Resort hotels, I vote for
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. Themed like a colonial Spanish fortress, there are cannons, two waterslides, and dare I say it...zero-entry depth! There is also a shipwreck water play area for the under 48 inches crowd. They have their own play area with two mini slides and a giant bucket of water that makes a surprise downpour.
And finally in the deluxe Resort hotels,
Disney's Beach & Yacht Club Resorts share the ever popular Stormalong Bay. I personally like the pool at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge-Kidani Village better, but all my children choose Stormalong Bay. They get the best of both worlds with the beach sand and pool. Here you'll find a lazy river, an awesome water slide, kiddie pool with a mini waterslide, and a sand beach that slopes into the main pool. They can bring a shovel and pail and have a ball.
My daughters never met a Disney Resort pool they didn't like. Good luck with your decision and have a splashtastic vacation!
