Hi we are planning on booking our stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge, but was just gonna book normal view room is that worth it or should we go for savanna view room or just stay somewhere else? Thanks for your time hope to hear from you soon.

    Hi Christa,

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a fabulous place to stay while vacationing at Walt Disney World, particularly if you are a big animal fan.  Savanna view rooms are amazing.  Just imagine having a cup of coffee on your balcony in the morning as giraffes amble by.  If you can swing the extra expense of a savanna view room, I do think it is worth it.  If not, don't worry.  There are plenty of animal viewing spots throughout the resort where you can take in breath-taking views of the lodge's animal residents.  I suppose the decision to upgrade really depends on how much time you plan to spend in your room.  If you won't be there for much time, then it may seem wasteful to invest in the savanna view room.  And if you do book a standard view room, be sure to ask if there are any complimentary upgrades available when you check in.  Although you can't depend on upgrades being available upon your arrival, it certainly doesn't hurt to ask.

Thanks for posting your question to the Moms Panel!

    Best wishes,
    Jill
