Ahoy Damaris!
Greetings and welcome to planDisney! Bravo...I love that you are considering a Disney cruise for the fall. Even better, it would be a return to sailing for you as your second cruise, so you already know why it's awesome to
set sail with Captain Mickey.
If you happen to select September instead of November, then you could experience a
Halloween on the High Seas voyage! Those are some of my favorite itineraries my family has done, thanks to all the amazing decorations and festive activities like Mickey's Mouse-querade Party and a trick-or-treat party onboard. Don’t miss the story of the Pumpkin Tree, which is typically the first night onboard-it’s spellbinding! Be sure to pack your Halloween costumes because it will make it all the more SPOOKtacular!
Of course, you probably can predict my answer as someone who adores Disney Cruise Line and answers questions here at planDisney. When it comes to deciding whether to cruise or not, I’m probably always going to say, “Go for it!” But totally understand that you are hesitant to book and don’t want to be disappointed. I also believe that Captain Mickey is up to the challenge of getting the fleet back to sea and have faith that will happen. When precisely that will be is the money question for sure!
Perhaps the best advice I can give you on whether to sail or not is to simply go with your gut. I would gladly be one of the first people lined up to board one of the ships as soon as they set sail, but that’s not the case for everyone. As someone who had a cruise cancelled last year, I can totally relate to what you are saying about dreading a cancellation. But here’s the silver lining: when Disney Cruise Line has had to cancel a cruise, it offers Guests who have paid their reservation in full the choice of a future cruise credit to be used for a future sailing (prior to May 31, 2022) or a full refund. Meanwhile, Guests who have not paid their reservations in full have automatically received a refund of what they have paid so far. You can track any
travel advisory announcements on the Disney Cruise Line website.
Whatever you decide, I hope a Disney cruise is in your not-too-distant future. Chart a course back to planDisney if we can be of further assistance in any of your vacation planning.
SEA ya real soon!
