Planning on booking Ohana for dinner. Do I book a time that allows firework viewing from the restaurant or do I book a bit earlier and then view from the Polynesian beach area? Which gives the best viewing?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Helen! Nice to hEAR from you again.

'Ohana is one of my all-time favorite Walt Disney World® Resort Restaurants. I love the food, I love the ambience, and I love the possibility of seeing the fireworks from the beach of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, if I can time it right.

Your best bet for fireworks viewing is going to be from the beach - there are very few tables inside the restaurant that can actually see the fireworks due to the restaurants interior layout, outside architecture (there are wood roof beams that hang down), and outside vegetation (high palm tress). Of all the times I have dined at 'Ohana, which is a lot, I've only been able to snag a great table with a fireworks view once. I've learned to just plan on catching them from the beach.

I usually allot about 2/2.5 hours prior to the scheduled fireworks time when booking a reservation timeframe. This is a family-style meal that comes out in courses, so it's not a quick meal. If we do finish in plenty of time, we enjoy the grounds of the Resort or head to the BouTiki Gift Shop for a quick look around.

I hope this is helpful in planning your dining experience at 'Ohana, Helen. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any additional questions you may have.
