Welcome to planDisney, Thomas! I'm so glad you found us. You've got a friend in me, and I'll be happy to walk you through how to convert your Placeholder Reservation to another magical voyage on
Disney Cruise Line. Let's dive right in!
On our family's first DCL sailing, we were immediately all in on booking another cruise. I was so excited to learn about the Placeholder option, and we were able to use ours for a second vacation about 18 months later. As you know, Guests can book a Placeholder onboard during their Disney cruise, which can be used for another cruise within 24 months and includes a discount on the voyage fare. This is typically 10%, but there are
currently some really great deals with 20-25% off for select sailings that you should definitely check out!
Thomas, you can visit the
My Reservations section on the DCL website to convert your Placeholder to a confirmed reservation, or
call the Disney Cruise Line Contact Center for a friendly assist. Keep in mind that once the conversion is confirmed, it can't be changed back to a Placeholder. So if your plans change and you cancel the confirmed reservation, standard cancellation fees apply.
I hope this information is just what you need to get that 2027 cruise booked - it's always a great idea to have a Disney adventure or two to look forward to! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, and please come see us again anytime if we can help with any other questions about DCL or Disney destinations in general.
