We are planning on booking at the Carribean Resort. We've heard that the shuttle service is slow and have considered booking a car for the 4 days we'll be in the area. Is it worth the extra $ and is it true that resort members park for free?

Hi Sarah - yes, it's true that Walt Disney World resort guests park for free!

As for renting a car - this is one of those questions where you would be likely to get a different opinion depending upon who answers it.  Personally, I prefer not to rent a car.  The bus service isn't perfect, but I find that it works fine for our family.  In addition, we like taking a break from driving, and it's nice to save money on gas and the rental fee.

Keep in mind that the buses to drop off very close to the front entrance of the parks, while you are likely to park quite a long distance from the front entrance.  Getting to the front entrance when you park will take some extra time.

I hope that helps!  Have a great vacation!
