Hello. We are planning to book a trip to Disneyland. We have a Chase Disney Premier Credit card and read could get 5% back if booking directly through Disney, but if booking through costcotravel or another travel agent, we would only get 1%. Is that true?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Brian. We're so glad you dropped in to share this question with us. It sounds like a vacation to the Disneyland Resort is in the works and I'm delighted to help out.

I love the rewards that I earn with my Disney Premier Visa Card and I'm always in for a good deal! It sounds like you are too. From what I can tell from the website, it looks like Disney Premier Visa Cardmembers earn 5% in Disney Rewards Dollars for purchases made directly at DisneyPlus.com, Hulu.com and ESPNPlus.com. For most other everyday purchases, including purchases at gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants and most purchases at the Disneyland Resort, you will earn 2% in Disney Rewards Dollars. This also includes Disneyland Vacation Packages booked through the Walt Disney Travel Company. For all other purchases, you will earn 1%. I recommend checking out the Earning Disney Rewards Dollars FAQ for additional details.

There is another cardmember perk where you can receive a promotional APR of 0% for six months on select Disney vacation packages. I recommend reaching out directly to the number on the back of your card to inquire about this as the website currently only references packages for 2024. I don't see anything specific to what you have mentioned and wonder if it may be an exclusive offer. If that's the case, your best bet may be to reach out directly to the number on the back of your card for additional details.

Once you have everything squared away and your vacation set, don't forget to bring your card with you for your visit. There are so many fun little perks at the Disneyland Resort to take advantage of. I especially love the exclusive photo opportunities!

Brian, while I wish I had a better answer to share with you, I hope I've shared some information that's helpful for getting you to the next step. Please come back to visit us with any other questions that you might have. Until then, we wish you happy planning!
