We are planning to book a stay at French Quarter for May next year, but I am worried about the bus service. Does it facilitate both French Quarter and Riverside before it goes to the parks? And how long would this add to our journey? .

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Amanda!

While a visit to Walt Disney World is magical at any time of year, you'll find that May is exceptionally beautiful!

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is not only lovely but is also conveniently located making it a family favorite for many Guests. Like some others, this resort often shares Walt Disney World Bus Service with a sister resort. In this case, bus transportation is sometimes shared with Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside, a much larger resort with four bus stops. In general, buses stop first at French Quarter, then head to Riverside. The upside to this is that you'll be the first Guests to depart the bus after a long day of park fun; you'll also be the first to get onto the bus when leaving for the parks, meaning that you'll likely have more seating choices than those who board a stop or two later. This could add 10 to 20 minutes to your departure travel time when heading out to the parks. (Again, as the first stop on the way home, the combined bus service won't add any time to your journey.)

Happy planning your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Amanda! As you think of more questions, be sure to send them our way. We love to help!
