Well hey howdy hey, Gabriele! It’s so nice to see a fellow Tennessean who shares my love for cruising with Disney! I can’t wait to help y’all plan your next cruise getaway, so I'm thrilled you decided to visit us here at planDisney.
First of all, let me say that the
Bahamian itinerary you’re considering is one of my favorites because it stops at
Castaway Cay, which is my happy place. Because this sailing starts and ends in the same US port (
Port Canaveral), I’m delighted to confirm your 10-year-old will not need a passport. Just make sure you have their original birth certificate on hand when you check in at the port.
Speaking of checking in on embarkation day, remember to
pack a carry-on bag to bring on the ship with you since your luggage will likely take a few hours to arrive at your stateroom. In it, you’ll want to include some important items, like medication and citizenship documentation, as well as some items that will help you start enjoying your fun in the sun, like swimsuits and sunscreen. I also like to pack towel clips for each member of our crew. You’ll find beach towels provided on the pool deck, but the colorful clips help keep our towels from blowing away and also aid us in differentiating our lounge chairs.
While Disney Cruise Line always recommends that Guests travel with a passport, I hope this brings you some peace of mind as you complete your booking. If you have any further questions, you can head to the Disney Cruise Line website to read more about the
Travel Documentation requirements, or simply sail back to us here at
planDisney.
Embrace the magic,
Sami
