Hi, We are planning to Book a character breakfast at Ohana on the 28th of September, we will be a party of 9, are we able to make a reservation for 9 people, two of these will be under 3, or will we need to make two smaller reservations? TIA

Hey there Ben and welcome to planDisney!

If I've learned anything about planning these visits to the Walt Disney World Resort, making food a major priority is at the top of my list. Trust me you do not want to see 10 Louisianians hungry! I was just up at the crack of dawn this morning booking my Advanced Dining Reservations for a party of 10 so I definitely understand your plight. While some eateries were able to accommodate my big, crazy, Louisiana party of 10, a couple of our choices required 2 separate reservations with smaller parties. Let your FairyGodTaylor walk you through what I think will work best for you!

Since the restaurant's name literally means family and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten, I know exactly how important it is to get your party this breakfast at 'Ohana. Who wouldn't want to have a meal with our favorite Disney "dog" Stitch and his quirky pal Lilo? I did a little experimenting of my own in the My Disney Experience app and found that while I could find lots of open breakfast reservations for parties of 8 when I switched the number up to 9 I got nothing. So I'm going to recommend that you go ahead and try to book 2 separate Advanced Dining Reservations for the same time slot. I actually was able to use this method this morning by making one reservation under my My Disney Experience account and one under my mom's. When it's time to go to our reservation, the plan is to get there early and ask the Cast Member working at the podium to be seated together. If they can do this for your family, be patient as you may have to wait a little bit as they try to work things out for you. While there's no guarantee that they can make this happen especially if it's super busy, I've definitely seen more than my fair share of pixie-dusted possibilities.

While you're visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth, let me also recommend Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' for an added dining stop on your vacation. I know from experience that this one is big family friendly and can accommodate a party your size.

Ben, I'm sending you all my snack queen energy in hopes that you get your dining set up exactly how you want it. If you have any other questions please feel free to come back for another chat. You're part of our 'ohana now too!

    Happy planning!
