Hi, Tim! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
In my opinion, there is no better place to celebrate a birthday than the Walt Disney World Resort. In fact, I celebrated my own 40th birthday there a couple of years ago. It was the BEST DAY EVER! Traveling to the planet Batuu at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will make for a birthday celebration of galactic proportions. Building your own custom lightsaber at
Savi's Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsabers or a personalized astromech droid at
Droid Depot would be quite a memorable birthday gift. Both of these experiences are now booking reservations up to 180 days in advance.
In addition to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, there are several
other ways that guests can experience a galaxy far, far away when they visit
Disney's Hollywood Studios. As far as we know, most of these additional Star Wars offerings will remain after guests begin traveling to the planet Batuu, but be sure to follow the
Disney Parks Blog for all of the latest Walt Disney World Resort news.
At this time, the Walt Disney World website only lists dates for
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party through August 24, 2019. I have not personally heard of any plans to discontinue this event, so I would recommend you keep checking the website to see if additional dates might be added. Often these type of events are not available to book until much closer to the date. A dessert party is a great way to celebrate a birthday, and I would definitely recommend Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party if it is offered during your visit. However, if this particular party is not available, you might want to consider another option such as
Fantasmic! Dessert & VIP Viewing Experience or
Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise.
Wishing you a wonderful 40th birthday weekend!
Samantha
