We are planning a birthday trip in September for my daughter to Disney World. She is going to be 17. I want to make it super special without breaking the bank. Nice Dinner Reservation and maybe something else. But because of her age I find it difficult?

    Hi Yeinlyn,

I think that it is lovely that you want to have a special birthday for your teenage daughter at Walt Disney World! Do be sure to pick up a "Happy Birthday" button for her, available free of charge at Guest Relations at any Disney theme park as well as other locations throughout Walt Disney World. It is always fun to hear cast members and other guests alike wishing your loved one a happy birthday when they see the button!

As to a nice dinner reservation, there are so many possibilities, so it will depend on your daughter's tastes. At her age, she could take a look at the dining options at Walt Disney World and let you know what is interesting to her. You mention that price is important, so using the link that I provided, you can choose a price range before giving her the link so that she is looking at restaurants that will work for you and your family.

As to something special to do with her, consider a tour at Walt Disney World. These come in a variety of lengths and prices, and while some are more traditional tours, there are some that are very active. If she enjoys actively being outside, check out perhaps the Wilderness Back Trail Adventure, on which you get to ride Segways around Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. Another option might be a ride in a tethered hot air balloon at Characters in Flight at Disney Springs.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Yeinlyn. Have a wonderful time planning your daughter's special birthday trip, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
