Hi there Cathy!
What a fun way to celebrate a milestone birthday - with a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! There's no better place to celebrate and make memories than
Walt Disney World Resort.
My family loves visiting Walt Disney World during the
holiday season. It's such a fun, festive place to celebrate, and the decorations and holiday lights are simply magical. I totally understand you wanting to see the gorgeous lights on your vacation!
Guests can usually expect the first touches of holiday pixie dust to appear "magically" overnight between October 31 and November 1. As the Halloween decorations come down, the Christmas decorations go up! By the end of the first week of November, you can typically expect most everything in all four theme parks and
Disney Springs to be fully decorated.
There isn't a specific "end date" to holiday decorations, but in past years the transformation typically begins around the first Monday after New Year's (though some pieces may start coming down a bit sooner). If you're hoping to celebrate your birthday surrounded by Christmas lights, you might want to plan your trip for that first week of the New Year!
I hope this helps with your planning, and you'll soon have travel dates on the calendar to look forward to a magical Walt Disney World getaway.
