Hello and welcome to planDisney, Sylvia. Aahhhh! This sounds like an epic trip that will surely become a core memory for 2027. Securing your hotel stay and theme park tickets are the first steps in planning, so let's get to talking about the bare necessities.
Sylvia, a great place to start is the Disneyland site itself. You can find a plethora of great information on the different
Disneyland Resort hotel options as well as
Good Neighbor Hotels. Since you'll be booking both a hotel and park tickets, I recommend considering a
Disneyland Vacation Package. This combines both components and you even get a little extra pixie dust sprinkled in with discounts at select merchandise and dining locations in
Downtown Disney District. Not to mention, each registered guest aged 3 and older will receive an exclusive Walt Disney Travel Company collectible pin and lanyard. A great start to the birthday celebration!
When it comes to Disneyland Resort hotels, the Disneyland Hotel and Pixar Place Hotel both offer 3 Bedroom Connecting Suites that can accommodate up to a maximum of 14 adults, while Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa offers a 3 Bedroom Suite that can accommodate up to 13 adults. Depending on how you want to split up your party, the options are practically endless.
While all three hotels are absolutely magical, I have to say that the Disneyland Hotel is probably my favorite. Nothing beats the nostalgic and whimsical vibes I get when staying here. It also doesn't hurt that a DOLE Whip is a mere elevator ride and a few skips away from my hotel room.
If you're not able to book directly at the Disneyland site, I recommend working with a local Authorized Disney Travel Agent to help with getting everything booked.
When you arrive for your visit, be sure to let a Cast Member know that you're
celebrating a birthday. They will provide the honorary guest with a complimentary birthday button. It's so fun to wear this around the parks and hear Cast Members and even other guests share their birthday wishes. And be sure to keep an eye on
Disney Parks Blog as your visit gets closer. A calendar of events for the following year is usually posted towards the end of the previous year and you'll be able to see if any special events are taking place during your visit.
Sylvia, I hope this has been helpful and gives you the next steps for checking some items off your planning list. Please come back to visit us with any other questions that you may have. Until then, I wish you happy planning for a most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
