Planning my 75th birthday in 2026.There will be 10 adults and 5 children, 3 yrs-11 yrs. We'd like to stay 4 days at the Grand Californian or Disneyland hotel & visit both parks before summer. How much should I budget for hotel & tickets?

Hi Linda! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.

Big group trips are extra fun. They make for the most magical memories, especially when you get to travel with grandparents, children, and grandchildren. We've taken many multigenerational family trips, and they're always among my favorites. I know you'll have the best time marking your special birthday!

Currently, prices for admission tickets, hotels, and vacation packages are available for 2024, but not beyond. Typically, hotels and vacation packages for the next year open up late in the summer. So you probably can look for 2025 packages to appear in July or August of this year. This means it's a little early to price a trip for 2026 since prices are subject to change.

I'd suggest taking a look at the current Disneyland Resort Hotel Packages for this year to gauge roughly how much you should be budgeting. Do be sure to select similar dates that fall when you intend to visit in 2026, as prices vary from season to season and even day to day based on a variety of factors. Vacation Packages offer Guests increased value and special perks, which I think you'll appreciate. Currently, Guests staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel enjoy Early Admission, which my family loves to take advantage of!

Disneyland Hotel is my family's favorite place to stay because we love the retro theming and quick access to the Disneyland Monorail, which whisks us right into the heart of Tomorrowland in Disneyland Park on those early mornings. Although, you can't go wrong with Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa either, which is where we'll be staying on our next visit. They both offer an immersive experience, convenient access to the parks, and delicious dining options. Napa Rose at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is our favorite restaurant to dine at during our visits to Disneyland Resort. It's a really elegant experience, perfect for a special occasion dinner.

With a big group, planning is extra important. At this time, dining reservations can be made 60 days out from your visit. If you want to enjoy sit-down dining in the parks, hotels, or Downtown Disney District, be sure to book right as reservations open up for your large group. At some dining locations, it might be necessary to book a few smaller tables as they can't accept large parties. When you arrive, simply tell the helpful Cast Member you'd like to be seated as close to each other as possible. They'll do their best to accommodate you!

    Have a magical day.
