Hi, Cristian!
Thank you for reaching out to planDisney. You are such a thoughtful sibling! Planning a surprise trip for your brother's anniversary is incredibly kind! I may need to drop a hint to my own siblings that I would happily accept a similar surprise.
For a group of your size, you will most likely need at least 2-3 rooms unless you book one of the largest options, such as the 3-Bedroom Family Connecting Suite at the Disneyland Hotel or the Pixel Suite - 3 Bedroom Connecting Suite at Pixar Place Hotel. With so many Guests, I recommend calling the Disneyland "
Vacation Packages" line so a Cast Member can walk through availability and pricing. However, you can browse the
Disneyland website to get a sense of your options. Sometimes it is easiest to break up the search into smaller groups based on who will share a room.
It's also worth comparing both the cost and convenience of booking a 3-Bedroom Connecting Suite versus multiple Standard Rooms. Staying all together can be such a memorable experience! I have done this with both extended family and planDisney friends, and waking up to everyone's smiling faces was priceless! That said, separate rooms can sometimes be the most cost-effective. It really depends on your priorities and budget. You should be able to book multiple rooms online or by calling the "Vacations Package" line, and payment plans are typically available.
All three hotels at Disneyland are fantastic and offer unique vibes and amenities. I love the Craftsman-style charm and unbeatable proximity to the parks when staying at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. My kids adore the classic Disney nostalgia and fun pools at the
Disneyland Hotel, while the
Pixar Place Hotel is perfect for families who love Pixar stories and characters.
Since
Halloween is a popular time of year to visit, the sooner you can finalize your vacation plans, the better. You may also want to try to purchase tickets to the
Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party when they go on sale. This separately-ticketed event is one of my family's favorite experiences at Disney California Adventure Park! In the past, we have trick-or-treated among the Disney Villains, enjoyed the spooktacular Frightfully Fun Parade, and then wandered through the mystic Villains Grove. Tickets tend to sell out quickly, so keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and Disneyland social media channels for future announcements.
Cristian, I hope you are able to put together the perfect trip for your family! If more questions come up along the way, planDisney is always here to help.
Magic Happens!
Jen
