Hi Stephanie, glad you stopped by to visit us here at planDisney!

The Disneyland Resort is the PERFECT place to celebrate birthdays no matter the age! You can absolutely plan a magical vacation for your family of five adults and two children. I'll try my best to help you with key details you should consider.

First and foremost, you will need Theme Park Tickets and Theme Park Reservations for your upcoming visit. Theme park reservations can be booked up to 120 days in advance, so your booking window is just about to open! When purchasing tickets, you have a choice between One Park Per Day tickets or Park Hopper tickets. The Disneyland Resort currently has two theme parks to visit, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. The One Park Per Day ticket allows you to visit one theme park each day. However, the Park Hopper tickets allow you to "hop" to the other theme park after 1 p.m., which is my family's preferred choice! We love the flexibility the Park Hopper tickets give us.

Once your theme park tickets and reservations have been finalized, you can start thinking about lodging. The Disneyland Resort Hotels are amazing. Our family's hotel of choice is Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. We try to stay here if our budget allows. But the great thing about the Disneyland Resort is that it is right in the heart of the city of Anaheim, meaning there are plenty of options for hotel choices. Disney has a listing of Good Neighbor Hotels that you can choose from as well!

And we can't forget about dining! Dining reservations can be booked up to 60 days in advance, and these tend to book quickly, so I recommend taking a look at the listing of restaurants and booking them as soon as your 60-day window opens up! If I could make one recommendation, it would be Oga's Cantina at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland Park. As soon as you step in, it feels like you're actually in a cantina in the world of Star Wars. It's a very unique experience, not to be missed!

I know this is a lot of information, so if you have any additional questions, please come back!

    See ya real soon!
