Hello Terri! Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I bet you are so excited to be headed to Walt Disney World, it's right around the corner.
You can absolutely bring snacks, drinks and sandwiches into the Disney Parks with you. In fact, my family and I always do this. It saves us a lot of money. Here is a heads up on some things you need to know:
- Glass containers are not permitted inside of the park. This does exclude baby food.
- No outside alcoholic beverages
- You are allowed a soft sided cooler with dimensions no bigger than 24" (61 cm) long x 15" (38 cm) wide x 18" (46 cm) high
- Keep in mind, Florida can be really hot and there are not refrigerators to store your food at the parks. Plan on bringing mostly non perishable items.
- You can request free ice and ice water at any counter service location. We take advantage of this all day long! They give you a large cup, too.
- You are allowed to eat your packed food at any counter service location, inside or outside.
Some of our favorite items to bring with us are soda and juice boxes, especially in the summer months. My family and I tend to be really thirsty people, so bringing our own saves us a lot of money. We also bring in snacks like gold fish, fruit snacks, and cereal. Small items to munch on keeps kids occupied when waiting in long lines, this was very helpful when my daughter was little. Another money saving tip is at Counter Service locations, you don't have to order the whole meal. If you are craving the cheeseburger combo but don't want the french fries, you can order the cheeseburger by itself. This helps with portion control and saves a few bucks too! Request a free water and you've got yourself an inexpensive lunch.
Have a great day!
