Hi Michelle!
It seems like the airlines are charging for everything these days - great idea to pack lightly! The toiletries at Port Orleans are made by
H2O+ and are actually quite nice. The moderate resorts typically come with a shampoo/conditioner combo and a bar of soap. Although, during my last stay at Coronado Springs, I had a full selection of the H2O+ Bath Aquatics collection! Be sure to ask "Mousekeeping" for extras if you run out.
The rooms at Port Orleans French Quarter also come stocked with a refrigerator, blowdryer, coffeepot, iron and ironing board. Of course, most everything that you might need will also be available in the resort gift shop.
I don't want to sugarcoat the situation - August is HOT! I highly recommend bringing plenty of sunscreen and hats or something else to keep your hair up. Also, in order to lighten your load, I suggest doing a load of laundry while you are there. It will cost you $4 to wash and dry a load of clothes and detergent may also be purchased. We always do laundry in the evening and play in the pool while we are waiting. In August, you certainly won't need any jackets or other clothing for cooler weather. Stick to shorts and light weight clothing and you will be just fine!
Much pixie dust,
Jackie S.
