We are planning on attending Star Wars weekend and will hopefully have our daughter signed up for Jedi Academy. We would like to know how they pick the children to be in the motorcade parade in the afternoon. Is it random? What can we do to our advantage?

Wookies, ewoks, and droids, oh my! Star Wars Weekends are on.

Stacy, no one knows how participants are chosen for Legends of the Force: Star Wars Celebrity Motorcade. While watching Jedi Training Academy participants on stage once, a Cast Member tapped me on the shoulder and asked if my kids would like to march in the parade. We were not chatting anyone up or even looking extra enthusiastic. In fact, we were beginning to wilt from the heat. Of course my family's fatigue instantly lifted and was replaced with exuberance that still lingers when we talk of this magical moment that occurred eight years ago. One of the joyful wonders of Walt Disney World is pixie dust just magically happens!

Enjoy Star Wars Weekends you must!

Wishing for some pixie dust to fall on your children,

    Elisabeth
