We're planning to attend MNSSHP this year. The new costume rules are a bit confusing. We had all planned to dress as pirates but now I'm not sure we're allowed to dress for the party. Sure would appreciate some clarification. Thanks!

Hello Mary or should I say "Welcome foolish mortal!"
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party truly is one of the most fun dates on my Disney calendar and I know I just can't wait to don my not-so-scary costume and join in with all the usual trick o' treating and boo-to-you shenanigans!
It's always a good idea to check out current Walt Disney World Resort Park Rules from time to time as they do change and evolve, plus for full clarification of permitted Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party costumes and general park attire I suggest taking a peek at this Theme Park Dress Code link.
Generally speaking I would think that by closely following the current Theme Park Dress Code for adults and children aged 13 years old & under and dressing as non-scary pirates or buccanears at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party would be marrrghvellous idea!
Plus please be sure to have lots of fun setting sail on everyones favourite swashbuckling high seas adventure Pirates of the Caribbean whilst singing "Yo Ho, Yo Ho. A pirates life for me!"
    Have a great Disney day.
