We are planning to attend Mickey's Merry Christmas Party and one member of our party can not walk long distances. Are there trolleys or other forms of transportation inside the Magic Kingdom that can take you to the different areas? Thanks so much.

    Hi Cathy!

You will have such a great time at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. This special event brings out the holiday spirit in all guests including Mister Scrooge. How can you not feel giddy when you walk down Main Street amidst the snow falling and the lights sparkling. The Magic Kingdom's ice castle alone is one of the most magnificent sights you will experience.

Disney does not offer transportation within the park during the party. The best solution, and one that I have used, is to rent a Wheelchair for the evening. This will allow the member of your party to be pushed when they don't feel like they can walk. Pushing a wheelchair is not difficult and my mother always thought she was on her own thrilling attraction as we sped her up and down some of the park streets. I think we had as much fun as she did.

Wheelchairs are available at the entrance of the park so there is easy access. I recommend you bring a scarf or something you can attach to it so you can easily spot it when you park it for attraction experiences. While waiting for the parade or fireworks this chair will also offer a place to sit for the family member. It will be well worth the rental fee for the evening and everyone will be happy!
