Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Debra! I adore the seasonal parties at Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom. The festivities, food and fun are unmatched!
I particularly love
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, where guests of all ages can wear costumes portraying their favorite characters with a few attire rules like no masks, dragging clothing or signing of autographs. It’s the one time of year adults as well as children can dress up. I’m sorry to say at
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, costumes are not allowed for those over age 14, even if they are short. You won’t be able to wear your costume cape into the party. Perhaps your tweens or children would be able to wear it and find Fairy Godmother to take a photo with? That would be a magical childhood experience. You may also think about wearing the cape if you decide to train and run the
runDisney Princess Half Marathon. The weekend of runs and fun do allow some running accessories and costume pieces that don’t interfere with your athleticism. It’s a lot of fun to sew tiaras onto running hats!
If I can help you with more Christmas time fun like the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade or where to find the snow on Main Street, U.S.A., please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
