Well hello there, Natalie. Welcome to planDisney!
You and I are in the same boat when it comes to wanting to experience both
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at
Magic Kingdom Park and
Disney Jollywood Nights at
Disney's Hollywood Studios. I've had such a great experience at all of the parties and
Disney After Hours events that I've attended and I can't wait to add Disney Jollywood Nights to that list. And of course, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is always a good time, with its specialty entertainment, unique character meet-and-greets, and usually lower wait times for included attractions.
According to the
Ticket Expiration Deadlines & Usage timeline, a 2-day theme park ticket purchased separately from a vacation package expires 4 days after the selected start date. So if your start date for a theme park ticket is a Sunday, you can only use that ticket through the Wednesday of the same week. There is no flexibility with this policy at this time. However, if you book a vacation package with theme park tickets and a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel room reservation, your tickets will be valid throughout your stay. So as long as your stay at least starts on Sunday and goes until at least the following Thursday, you'll be covered. Plus, staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel gets you access to buying tickets before everyone else: July 2, 2024 instead of July 10, 2024.
There are 2 other options available to you as well. Let's talk them out:
- You can purchase 2, 1-day theme park tickets, one for Sunday and one for Thursday. Just note that this will likely be your most expensive option ticket-wise. However, sometimes flexibility has its own value.
- Since you're arriving on December 6, 2024, go to Disney Jollywood Nights on December 7, 2024 and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on December 8, 2024. Then, you can use your 2-day theme park tickets right after that and not have to worry about the parties in between!
Natalie, play around with the dates and see what works best for you and your travel party. And most importantly,
have a very merry time at the resort. Be sure to
reach out with any other questions!
