We are planning on arriving December 13th and leaving on December 18th. I just wondered how crowded you think the parks will be on these dates. This will be our second trip. The first time we arrived on December 8th and left December 12th. It was perfect.

    Amy:

Like you, I've traveled to Disney during the second week of December and found the crowds to be very manageable. My family has also gone twice during the week before Christmas and found the crowds equally manageable.

What I have found, however, over the last few years is that other guests are also hearing about the average crowds and mild weather, not to mention Christmas decorations during this week, and so the crowds have been building during the pre-Christmas season. As always, the closer you get to Christmas the heavier the crowds but if you're looking at 2015, I would suspect you'd be fine if you're leaving on the 18th. Most schools will probably just be getting out for the holidays.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
