Planning to arrive on a Sunday morning in Orlando, and leave first thing Wednesday. What is the best way (type of tickets, different passes/special lanes) to see the most at the parks as possible?

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

While I love a long stay at Walt Disney World, I am no stranger to the short visit! As long as you know that you will never see it all, you can certainly see more than you expected, even in just a few days. Here is my advice.

    • Whenever you can, get to the parks as early as possible. This is not just about more time in the parks, but getting there ahead of the larger rush of guests when they typically arrive, which gets you on a few more rides each day.
    • Stay at a Disney Resort Hotel, so that you can enjoy the Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort Hotel Guests. That extra 30 minutes each morning is gold!
    • Get a Park Hopper option for your ticket. That way you can cover more ground each day.
    • If you are coming in from the Orlando International Airport, consider faster transportation. While I love the savings from a shuttle service, if it is within your budget a Lyft or Uber will save you significant time in transit.
    • For each day you really should purchase the Disney Genie+ service. This gets you on more attractions than without.
    • For each day, be sure to consider purchasing the Individual Lightning Lane access, as well as try for the Virtual Queues that are available. These are applied to the most popular attractions for a reason, and you are almost certain to want to have them on your list of activities.
    • While sit-down meals take more time than counter service, it is worth planning one fun dinner somewhere. Write me back with a bit about what you like to eat, and what you might be looking for, and I can offer some suggestions.
Without knowing more about your interest and travel party, my suggestion would be to hit the parks in this order. On Sunday, go to the Magic Kingdom for the whole day. On Monday, start at the Animal Kingdom, and then transfer to Hollywood Studios for the evening. On Tuesday, spend the whole day at EPCOT. With all of these, be ready to jump to a new park if you feel like you need a change of pace!

Please feel free to write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
