We are planning to arrive at HS before the park opens hoping that we will be lucky enough to join a boarding group for Rise of the Resistance. Once our group is called, how long is the wait in the line?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ruth!

I was lucky enough to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in the first week that it opened and I'm so excited that you're going to get the chance to try it out for yourself in just a few days. I am a lifelong Star Wars fan and between you and me, I definitely shed some tears when I was finished with the whole experience. I've never quite seen anything like it!

I will preface my answer by saying that it varies on who you speak to, but there will be a bit of a wait before you get on the attraction once you use your boarding pass to enter Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. The Cast Members inside Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge told us to expect to wait about 40 minutes once we scanned our MagicBands to enter the attraction. In my experience, we got into the line when our boarding group was called at 9:30 a.m. and we were exiting the attraction around 11:30 a.m. For that reason, I recommend that you make some flexible plans for your day at Disney's Hollywood Studios and be open-minded about making changes if you need to. You will have two hours from the time your boarding group is called to scan your ticket or MagicBand at the entrance of the attraction, but it is possible that you will still need to wait in the queue a little bit before your Resistance Intersystem Transport Ship is ready for you.

'Til the Spire, Ruth, and may the Force be with you!

In fact, we even opted out of a tropical honeymoon to spend a blissful week at Walt Disney World Resort instead! I'm thrilled to be on the planDisney Panel and I'm excited to share everything I've learned from all of our trips and help you plan a memorable family vacation.  Learn More About Jessica
