We are planning to arrive in Disney on Feb. 15, 2014 and we were considering a fireworks cruise for the 8 of us. Do we need park tickets for the fireworks cruise. What are our cruise options?

    Hi Mary Ann,

A fireworks cruise sounds like a fabulous way to kick off your Walt Disney World vacation. You do not need admission tickets either for the Magic Kingdom fireworks cruise or for the Epcot fireworks cruise. I've done both recently and really enjoyed them.

The Magic Kingdom cruise leaves from the Contemporary resort and takes you past the Magic Kingdom area resorts before anchoring in Seven Seas Lagoon, directly in line with Cinderella Castle, in time for Wishes. Your guide will share information about Walt Disney World and the resorts as you cruise, and the audio for Wishes will play on your pontoon during the fireworks show.

The Epcot cruise leaves from the Yacht Club resort and goes past Hollywood Studios and the Epcot area resorts before entering the International Gateway waterway at Epcot. The guides on this cruise also provide information about the area. The pontoons tie up under the bridge that connects the United Kingdom and France for a truly immersive view of IllumiNations.

Each cruise provides soft drinks, water and snacks for those on board.

I hope that helps. Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Please let us know if we can do anything else to assist you as you make your plans. Enjoy!
