I think that my all-time favorite attraction at Walt Disney World Resort is
Splash Mountain. I love the combination of the catchy music, the classic Audio-Animatronics, and of course, the thrilling drop at the end. If I spend any time in Briar Patch, I know that I'm going to be humming Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah all day!
Over the past few years, Splash Mountain has undergone a yearly refurbishment at the beginning of the year that has involved closing the attraction for a few weeks. This gives Cast Members a chance to fine-tune the ride vehicles, add new features and updates, and freshen up the Laughing Place for all the guests that are going to visit that year. As far as we know, there aren't any plans for a refurbishment of Splash Mountain in early 2021, but that is subject to change at any time. Disney does a really good job of keeping us updated when attractions are closing for any reason, so be sure to
bookmark the calendar and check back in the months leading up to your trip to see if there have been any updates. Click the link on the weekly calendar that says "View What's Closed for Refurbishment on Day View Calendar" and you'll be able to check which attractions will be getting updated during your vacation.
