Hi! DH and I are planning our annual trip to WDW from Australia and we have always wanted to see Halloween at WDW can you please tell me more and when is the best time to attend the party? Which deluxe hotel do you recommend to get the best experience?

Hi Lisa!  Our family makes it an annual trip to head to Disney in October. We love Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party as well as the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival that takes place at the same time.

Anytime in October is a good time and we suggest a mid week day for the party as they seem to be a little less crowded.  We have even ventured to Mickey's party on Halloween night and had a blast and enjoyed many attractions.  I strongly urge you to indulge and bring a wonderful costume for you and your husband.  The party is far more fun when you arrive in your costume and join the rest of the crowd having a great time.  We have worn hotdogs, cell phones, bowling pins, and candy costumes in the past and had a blast.  Remember to keep in mind you are at Disney when choosing one and also you will want something that will be easy to wear and also ride the attractions.

If you have any interest in experiencing the Food and Wine Festival at the same time then I suggest staying at the Yacht, Beach, or Boardwalk resorts since EPCOT is within a five minute walking distance from any of these resorts.  Heading to the Magic Kingdom party is easy on a Disney bus from this location.

The resorts don't really decorate for this holiday so any deluxe will be a wonderful experience.  If you choose to be closer to the Magic Kingdom then any of the monorail resorts are great choices. (Grand Floridian, Contemporary, Polynesian)  Choosing one of these is a matter of choosing what kind of themeing you desire to be surrounded by during your stay.
