Planning our annual trip next month to the Boardwalk and Trattoria al Forno is now a character breakfast, we really don't want that, where can we eat? (couple in our 50's).

    Greetings, Kristine!

I really enjoy Disney's BoardWalk Resort Area, it's charm, elegance, and location make it an excellent choice for a couples-only vacation.

You are correct, Trattoria al Forno now offers the Bon Voyage Character Breakfast, which probably isn't how you want to start your day. Luckily, I have an amazing suggestion that I think you will really enjoy!

Captain's Grille at Disney Yacht Club Resort is a nice leisurely stroll around Crescent Lake from Disney's BoardWalk Resort and will offer you the relaxed, character free breakfast you are looking for. This is one of my favorite breakfast locations available on-property! With the option to choose an a la carte breakfast, or the exceptional "grown-up" buffet, you can really customize your meal. I usually choose the buffet - they offer an excellent Eggs Benedict dish and a custom omelette station, pair it with a mimosa and you've started your day off magically. Enjoy, Kristine!
