We are planning our 30th Anniversary trip to Disney, 10/31 to 11/13. We have resort reservations and flights. We bought Halloween special event tickets. What we need is dates for the 2 Christmas Parties. It's very hard to plan without those dates.

Hello Dennis and welcome to planDisney!

Congratulations on your upcoming 30th anniversary! My wife and I will be celebrating our 35th this September so welcome to the three-decade club! We love to spend our anniversary where it started, at Walt Disney World, and I’m so happy you are getting that chance on your milestone day!

Your arrival on Halloween day gives you a great opportunity to celebrate the spooky time with Mickey at his Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and a chance to celebrate the Christmas changeover in early November with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! This past year, both of those additional ticketed events had dates that were available during the early days of November, and there is a great possibility that when the dates are announced that you will have the same opportunity this year!

Dennis, the one thing that I’m sure you have learned in your thirty years of marriage is patience!  You are going to need just a little bit more, because the dates for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Jollywood Nights have usually been announced in the middle of summer.  Last year, after the dates were announced, the tickets actually went on sale in July.  So, there is still a bit of waiting to do before you can finalize your plans.  Since you are looking for the first dates for each of those highly sought after additional ticketed events, I would keep a close eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any additional information on when those dates will be announced!

My wife and I love to dress up and attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!  Make sure you arrive at the early entry time of 4pm!  You’ll be able to enter the Magic Kingdom at that time to do some people watching and to head to some of your favorite attractions before the party officially begins at 7pm!  When the party does start, I highly recommend riding Space Mountain in the pitch dark!  It is so much fun, and I usually soar through space multiple times during the night!

Dennis, have an absolutely amazing time and don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
