Hi there, Jonathan! I'm so happy to see you've reached out to us again here at planDisney about that upcoming trip in a few weeks. Let's get out the pixie dust and get you on your way to the Happiest Place on Earth!
So many Guests are navigating the new theme park reservation system for the first time and have questions just like this one. You are in good company! As part of the
reopening policies, Guests are required to have both a
theme park reservation and a theme park ticket to enter. Reservations are limited and subject to availability, so I'm glad you've asked this question. While Guests are welcome to cancel and reschedule reservations, you will want to keep an eye on the
reservation calendar to ensure that there are still openings on your new date. I know you were debating between One Park Per Day tickets and Park Hoppers. When looking at the calendar, note that there is different availability depending on the type of ticket you are holding. Currently, Monday, February 21 only has Disney California Adventure Park available for One Park Per Day tickets, but both parks are available on that day if you have Park Hoppers.
When you purchase your tickets, you will be prompted to make a theme park reservation. You have up until midnight the night before to cancel a reservation so I would go ahead and make them and then revisit as you get closer to your travel dates. If you do need to cancel, I always recommend glancing at the calendar before making any changes to be double sure there is availability on your new day. Within the Disneyland Mobile App, navigate to "Upcoming Plans". This will take you to a page that will list all of your theme park reservations. You'll see the option to cancel specific days here. Once canceled, it will take you back to where you can schedule a new reservation.
No matter which day you go, I just know there will be magic around every corner. Since we are close to your park days, I wanted to let you know about a new feature in the Disneyland Mobile App that I'm excited to try the next time I'm at Disneyland. While dining reservations may be limited at this point, you can add your name to a
Mobile Dine Walk-Up list at select restaurants for same-day reservations. You can do this once you have scanned into the park. I know some fellow panelists have gotten coveted tables at
Oga's Cantina and
Blue Bayou Restaurant!
Jonathan, let us know if there are any other ways we can be helpful in your planning. Remember to take some moments each day to slow down and let the magic settle in around you. One of my favorite things to do is just grab a sweet treat from the
Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe and listen to
The Dapper Dans on Main Street, U.S.A.!
Magic awaits!
