We are planning ahead our next trip and was wondering whether the Disney dining plan or the delux plan. We are quite big food fans, the Disney dining plan would be free and the delux the upgrade price. Will there be too much or not enough?????

    Hi Simon,

I would recommend the standard Disney Dining Plan, especially if you are able to book it during a Free Dining promotion.

The Deluxe plan is a lot of food and in order to get your value out of it, you would need to book two table service meals per day (preferably lunch and dinner). Not only is that a lot of food but also a lot of time sitting inside a restaurant.

I think you'll find the regular plan to be enough food and you can always enjoy a few out-of-pocket meals. This strategy is less expensive than upgrading to the deluxe plan.

If however, you are going to Disney primarily for the food perhaps you should consider the Deluxe plan.  I would suggest a quick cost-analysis and drafted touring plan to insure that you'll really be utilizing the Deluxe plan for maximum savings.

Best wishes for a great vacation!
