Hiya, Keith! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your important question. I am so honored to help! Visits with my parents to the Happiest Place on Earth have created some of my fondest memories at the resort. From meeting characters to dining together, multigenerational trips are pure magic.
It sounds like you're interested in sprinkling some extra pixie dust into their visit, and I think Oogie Boogie Bash and character dining are great options! The dates for
Oogie Boogie Bash 2026 have yet to be announced, but tickets usually go on sale around two months before the first event, which tends to occur in August (or Summerween, as my kids call it). You'll want to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and
Disneyland Instagram beginning in late May/early June of next year for the
announcement about when tickets to this special event go on sale. Once you've secured those party tickets, you might also want to look into
Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party reservations, which is a great way to secure guaranteed seating during the Frightfully Fun Parade.
Keith, I am also happy to let you know that there are currently three awesome
character dining experiences outside the theme parks that you and your family are welcome to enjoy without a theme park ticket or park reservation.
Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel is a fun and nostalgic meal with some of our favorite Disney pals, and over at the Grand Californian Hotel, you can enjoy
Storytellers Cafe or the
Princess Breakfast Adventures. Seeing my mom interact with Chip and Dale during her birthday brunch is one of my favorite family memories. I am so excited for you to experience character dining! Please note that there are sometimes
seasonal offerings at these locations, so you will need to look at the Disneyland website as your visit nears.
Advanced dining reservations are highly recommended for these dining experiences, and generally open 60 days before a given date; reservations can be made on the
Disneyland website or in the Disneyland Mobile App.
Keith, be sure to ask a Cast Member for complimentary "I'm Celebrating" buttons for your parents during their visit. These can be found at Guest Relations or select stores throughout the resort and add an extra dose of pixie dust to the visit.
I hope this information helps, Keith. If you have any other questions, please visit us again. I would love to help!
See ya real soon,
Melissa
